ORC Week 3 | Boho Bedroom Progress

I’m working on the master bedroom in my new flat for this One Room Challenge. You can catch up on what the ORC is, and read all the details on the mood board and plans for this space, in last week’s post, but here’s a refresher on my boho/mid-century design for this bedroom…

Adding Subtle Texture

Things have started arriving, including the pretty rattan chest of drawers. I spent two and half hours building this thing, only to realise right at the end that I’d put two pieces in the wrong way round. We were not friends for a little while, but then I fixed it and we made up. She sure is pretty!

I added the rattan pendant from my old master bedroom. Still love it, and the gorgeous shadows it creates when it’s turned on – instant wallpaper!

Not much else has happened in here yet. I’m working on closet organisation behind the scenes. Marie Kondo style, obviously.

The gorgeous green wallpaper is here, ready to be installed, and I’m waiting for other bits to arrive. I’m already enjoying the boho feel all these pieces are bringing into the bedroom, and the different layers of texture.

What’s Next?

I want to hang art and add a big mirror to bring more light into the room. It’ll lose some once the dark green wallpaper is hung, but I still want to keep the bedroom as bright as possible.
