Today I’m taking you on a summer tour of my home. I live in a rented three-bed terrace in Mortlake, South West London. I design interiors in an eclectic mix of styles, but have focused on a combination of global, mid-century and industrial design features in this 90s-built house.
The Dining Area
The dining area is at one end of a long living room, which is also my husband’s office. Because the room serves so many functions, I keep the styling simple. The most recent updates here are the addition of two replica wishbone chairs and an understated modern bench, after playing with seating options for some time.
This space isn’t finished – it needs a mirror on that wall above. Moroccan lanterns hung above the table help define the eating area, and are filled with battery-operated fairy lights to give a bit of renter-friendly ambience at night.
I don’t like storing extra seasonal decor where I don’t need to (ie. when it’s not Christmas). Instead, I opt for fresh flowers. Peonies are my favourites.
The living area is a work in progress, but I’ll share a pic of that gorgeous Chesterfield roll arm any day of the week.
The correct adjective for my newest lighting addition is Dope AF. The base is an antique copper fire hose nozzle.
The Kitchen
Finally, here’s a little peek at the kitchen. If this wasn’t a rental, I’d replace the tile splashback. As that’s not an option, I distract from it by styling the counters with pretty serving accessories, and more fresh flowers.
The Kids’ Bedrooms
The kids’ bedrooms are both on the middle floor. I posted recently about both my son’s room and my daughter’s room, so I won’t include more photos here. If you do want to read more about them, click the images below.
The Master Bedroom
The summer home tour finishes at the top of the house, with the master bedroom. This space had a makeover back in November, when I added a workspace for myself. It transformed the room.
The desk chair – an ergonomic Hermann Miller bought on eBay – is a recent addition.
This gorgeous African lady was a recent charity shop find. She sits next to my inbox and my makeup tray. The rose is from the garden.
I went for minimal styling at the other end of the desk too. And added more flowers.

Also, I’ve tried a couple of times to comment on your gorgeous home tour but I kept getting error messages saying I had an invalid security token, whatever that means (tech is not my strong point). Anyway, your home is thoroughly gorgeous – I love all the layers of texture and the indigo on repeat – it’s dreamy. And yeah, totally jealous of your back yard!!
I love those lights above your table! Gorgeous! And the rolled arm of your couch is the best! Your home is so nice and bright, I loved your tour!

Thank you SO much – that really means a lot! Found the lamp base in an antiques store – crazy place, literally packed with stuff – I had to climb over stuff and got covered in cobwebs trying to fish it out! The lampshade was from a local store that has closed down now – boo.
