I picked an inspiration photo for this month’s mood board challenge specifically because it’s a colour combo that I wouldn’t normally choose. Taking this same black, white and pink inspiration image, myself and two other interiors bloggers created different room designs.
Emmerson & Fifteenth | Family Room Mood Board
I put together a comfy family room design in black, white and soft pink. There’s storage for kids’ toys and a plush velvet sectional for parents to lounge on. Pink can read overly girly, but paired with the bold contrast in the black and white, it’s not too feminine.

Cleverly Inspired | Dressing Area Mood Board
This month’s colors had me a bit puzzled…. only because I haven’t paired these frosted tones together before. But I love the freshness and light that transformed this foyer design when I put in splashes of pink and coral against the dramatic charcoal and black background. It all has me wishing for spring and warm sunshine!

Carissa Miss | Reading Room Mood Board
I’ve been dreaming of spring, but loving the dreamy, coziness of winter. With this in mind, I wanted to create a space where I could retreat to read. The pop of color reminds me of a budding tree; color amongst bare branches.
